CycleHealth offers seasonal fitness challenges, motivational programs, and adventure races that keep kids active year-round. Our innovative Sweat Rx gives pediatricians a concrete tool to inspire kids to get active. Kids across Minnesota are getting engaged and ready to lead us to a new cycle of health.
KIDS GET SWEATY WITH SWEAT Rx
What is Sweat Rx? It’s literally a prescription being delivered by more than 100 Minnesota pediatricians to activate kids.
Independent endeavors that kids self-start and track their progress to persevere and reach the goal. World-class motivational programs, training videos, and online support give kids the tools they need.
ADVENTURE RACES
The winter Kidarod, spring ForEverest, summer BreakAway Kids Tri, and fall Resilinator all give all kids a chance for a victory in sport. Kids become more resilient as they overcome obstacles, fatigue and self-doubt to cross the finish line.
KIDS SERVING KIDS
With our charitable giving programs, we inspire kids to “play it forward” by educating them that it’s not enough to have a victory for yourself without serving others at the same time.
When our KAP team learned that Minnesota’s beloved camp for children with cancer had suddenly lost its funding and was being canceled, they voted unanimously to save it. The camp serves more than 100 kids with cancer and their siblings, and is a collaborative effort of Children’s Hospitals of MN, True Friends, and the Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund. Hundreds of kids joined the Save the Camp effort in 2015, and raised a record $65,484 to cover the cost of the camp and give another donation to the pain clinic at Children’s Hospital.
FINISH THE CLINIC
In 2014, CycleHealth Kids raised $62,800 for the first-of-its-kind Pediatric Pain, Palliative and Integrative Medicine Clinic at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. The funds raised were used to pay for extraordinary items inside the clinic.
FEED HUNGRY KIDS
Second Harvest Heartland was the charity partner beneficiary of the Kidarod. After learning that 1 in 6 Minnesota kids don’t have enough food to eat, the KAP team was inspired to be part of the solution. Kids who participate in theKidarodwere encouraged to participate in our food drive, with all food raised going to Second Harvest. Kids earned cool prizes by collecting food, including a custom Wheaties box courtesy of General Mills. In all, kids raised 2,648 pounds of food during the Kidarod campaign. Congratulations kids!

What is a Resilinator?
It’s a kid who knows how to roll with the punches in life. A kid who keeps functioning when adversity strikes. A kid who faces setbacks and refuses to quit.
What’s the Resilinator?
Set on Minnesota's finest disc golf course, the Resilinator is a buddy race designed to test your physical strength, mental toughness, and teamwork. Three Rivers Park District is again our host partner for this first-of-its-kind adventure race with obstacles and challenges you'll conquer buddy pairs racing together.
Each pair must include at least one kid between the age of 7 and 17, plus a kid or adult buddy between the age 7 to 107. Adult buddies must have a moderate fitness level, as this race is designed to be challenging.
Buddy Combination Ideas: – Two Friends – Two Siblings – Kid/Parent – Kid/Mentor – Kid/Grandparent – Kid/Coach
Once you've chosen your racing buddy, make sure he or she registers for the event and chooses the same time slot you selected so you can start together.
Our Resilinator challenge is broken into 18 parts that build on one another. Do at least one a day, and take as much time as you need to complete the challenge thoughtfully.
Use your Resilinator scorecard to record your answers (included on last page). Make it your goal to complete all 18 challenges and turn in your scorecard at the Resilinator for prizes.

The BreakAway Kids Tri is the one time each year we ask kids to play it forward by fundraising to help with two needs:
Fund a week-long adventure camp for kids with cancer or blood disorders and their siblings Fund our scholarship & support program so we never have to say no to kids who want to participate in our programs & events.
All kids/siblings who raise $300 will be recognized at the race on our stage, receive a custom award, and be eligible for prize drawings.
We’re also working on an Adventure day in FALL to celebrate those kids who complete all three challenges and races.
AFTER A CYCLEHEALTH PROGRAM AT HIS SCHOOL, OWEN CAME HOME SO EXCITED TO DO THE TRIATHLON. THAT GOT OUR WHOLE FAMILY EXERCISING AGAIN, AND LED TO A GREAT SUMMER.
